Hi, I'm Nick — founder of Winnie Dog Co.

My love for dogs has always been one of the constants in my life, but in 2022, I finally decided to follow it. After twelve years working in a cubicle, feeling disconnected from the things that made me feel alive, the pandemic pushed me to reconsider what really mattered. When a friend asked if I could help with some dog walks, something clicked. Those first weeks outside with dogs felt like someone had cracked open a window — I could breathe again. I realized this was where I belonged.

I founded Winnie Dog Co. in honor of my blue nose pitbull, Winnie, who's been by my side through some of the most defining years of my adult life. Together, we've navigated challenges, including cancer and a traumatic attack that she bravely recovered from. Through it all, her resilience, gentleness, and unconditional love have taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and simply being present. Those lessons continue to shape how I approach caring for animals today. Winnie isn't just the inspiration behind our name — she's the heart of everything we do.

What started as one person walking dogs has grown into a small team of dedicated caregivers who share that same commitment to thoughtful, dependable care. While Winnie Dog Co. has grown, the values behind it haven't changed: building genuine relationships, respecting each animal's individuality, and treating every pet's well-being as a responsibility we take seriously.
